Senate Candidate Bridget McKenzie
For over 80 years The Nationals have fought for a fair go for country people in Australian parliaments. The Nationals have a strong history of investing in our future through championing economic and social development in the regions. As a proud and passionate National, this is a legacy Bridget intends to continue.
Bridget grew up in a small business and farming household. These typical rural family influences have taught her the value of hard work, of having a sense of purpose and the importance of each person's individual responsibility to engage with and give back to their local communities.
With degrees in Applied Science and Education, Bridget pursued a career in the education sector. Currently she is a education lecturer at Monash University. Apart from spending time with her children, Bridget enjoys netball, triathlons, sailing, horse-riding, camping and hiking.
Victoria is going through a period of enormous change, and needs leaders with the skills and experiences to ensure sound policies into the future. Bridget has the right credentials to complement the federal team and keep Victoria strong.
Bridget's particular areas of interest include youth affairs, education, small business and regional development. She will be travelling throughout Victoria during the campaign and will be attending local events and field days in every corner of the State.
